Matt Shamblin, Project Supervisor for BBL Carlton, with a carved float plane he whittled from scrap wood while at the Triana Energy project on Virginia St.,formerly the Boll Building. Shamblin carves night & day, his vice he says. He gives it all away to children or when he's carving walking canes he'll find someone that needs one. 'Ah it's a lot fun' that's what he'll tell you. To his right on the table are minature baseball bats with a whittled baseballs, canoes with a piece of wood to resemble a bamboo fishing pole and a fish hanging off the end of the pole. He also in his spare time forged a knife with a deer antler handle, and when it's finished he'll find someone that will want it.
