I shot this a while ago but thought I'd post it here. These two little girls, twins came to the city with their grandmother for a street fair & I watched from a distance as she bought a single ice cream cone. As I approached I listened to her tell the two that they had to share because she had spent all the money she had. I backed off & took their picture sharing the ice cream with a lump in my throat. It caused me to think, "that's how I grew up".
Great story... kinda gets to you.
We had times where we had lots of watered down soup, and we ate alot of rice, adding it to all kinds of meals. We ate skimpy, but never had to share any ice cream.
You know something that caught my eye? They're happy sharing... not too many kids these days would be.
tom,
if it will make you feel any better. I will let you share your next ice cream cone with me.... I am nice like that.... roger
p.s. i like chocolate
btw.. was a good photo
